ASSOCIATE SCIENTIST
This scientist will work on a team that develops biosensors, assays, and reagents for the chemical analysis of blood. Specific duties include: basic research on biosensors and designing, analyzing, and reporting test results. Preferred requirements include: MS in Chemistry, Biology, or Biomedical Engineering, or BS in these disciplines with 1 to 3 years’ industry experience; knowledge of chemical analyzer instrumentations; experience in blood analysis, reagent formulation, and scientific documentation.

CUSTOMER SUPPORT SPECIALIST, DATA MANAGEMENT
This person will be responsible for supervising the installation of Nova’s data management system to a hospital’s server and network. The position requires 60% to 70% travel. Specific duties include: installations on customer servers, new-customer training, and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues. Preferred requirements include: BS in technical discipline; at least 2 years’ experience with a hospital bedside glucose testing or hospital POC experience in data management; experience with Windows XP, Server 2003 or Server 2008, networking, Web interfaces, relational databases, as well as serial, EDI, and scripted interfaces. Training skills, project management skills, and the ability to work independently are important.

INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR: GLUCOSE TRAINING SPECIALIST
Nova Biomedical is looking for independent contractors interested in performing clinical training services at hospitals throughout North America in support of our expanding StatStrip bedside glucose hospital product line. In this contracted position, successful candidates will be offered opportunities to travel to customer sites and train end users on the StatStrip system as part of a team of onsite trainers. Qualified candidates will become factory certified trainers on the StatStrip system. Upon certification, contracted training specialists will be responsible for training hospital end users on the proper use of the StatStrip system. Additional responsibility includes documenting end user training and certifying that the end user has demonstrated core competencies associated with the use of the StatStrip system. If you have hospital glucose testing experience as a qualified healthcare professional (RN, LPN, CAN, PCA, CCT, Medical Technologist, Lab Assistant, Paramedic), have a flexible schedule or are semi-retired but would like to keep your hands in a clinical hospital setting, and are able to travel, we would like to talk to you about this exciting contract opportunity.

SALES PRODUCT LINE MANAGER/BLOOD GAS ANALYZERS
This position’s key objectives are to: increase worldwide sales of Nova’s Blood Gas product line; support Clinical Account Executives’ sales efforts; train US and international sales teams; define market trends; develop point-of-sale materials. Specific responsibilities include: develop hands-on technical understanding of the analyzers; maintain expertise about customers, markets, technology, competition, channels, and trends; promote products in trade shows, advertising, websites, sales meetings; conduct product demonstrations in key accounts, support Clinical Account Executives with managing objections and closing sales. Other responsibilities include: develop standard product evaluation protocols; and educate customers on product applications. The qualified candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ capital sales experience in a clinical lab environment and 5 years’ clinical lab, respiratory therapy, and/or POC experience. Also requires an understanding of statistical data, QC, QA, and Proficiency Testing requirements. The successful candidate will have excellent communication, presentation, teaching, and interpersonal skills. Approximately 70% domestic travel.
