We are currently looking for a top performing Account Executive to sell Nova's full range of blood based diagnostic analyzers and POC meters to hospitals in DC, MD and VA. The Account Executive will manage complex sales processes, committee sales and selling into integrated health networks. This position requires experience selling medical device capital equipment to hospitals, BS degree, science aptitude and at least 3-5 years of sales experience with documented success. We prefer that candidates reside in the greater Baltimore or Washington area. Overnight travel required, 4-5 nights per month on average. Understanding of hospital Lab Information Systems, Hospital Information Systems and middleware are a plus.

The Account Executives will manage complex sales processes, committee sales and selling into integrated health networks. This position requires experience selling medical device capital equipment to hospitals, BS degree, science aptitude and at least 3-5 years of sales experience with documented success. Candidates must reside in the territory area. Overnight travel required, 2-3 nights per month. Understanding of hospital Lab Information Systems, Hospital Information Systems and middleware are a plus. Territory includes northern NJ, northeast PA, Albany and Westchester.

We prefer that candidates reside in the greater Boston area. Overnight travel required, 4-5 nights per month on average. Understanding of hospital Lab Information Systems, Hospital Information Systems and middleware are a plus.

Associate Scientist
The Associate Scientist works within a multi-disciplinary team to conduct research and development of chemical sensors, assays, and reagents for clinical analyzers and instrumentation. Specific duties include: collecting data; recording results; operating and maintaining equipment; and preparing technical reports. Requires: BS in Chemistry, Biology, or Biomedical Engineering with laboratory skills and proficiency in MS Word and Excel.

Associate Scientist

CLINICAL APPLICATIONS SPECIALIST
The primary responsibilities of the Clinical Application Specialists are to perform hospital laboratory test studies for Nova products before the sale and work with new customers after the sale to streamline validation requirements and ensure a successful, smooth transition to Nova technology. You will also prepare and present performance data obtained during onsite studies, and perform onsite customer training for Nova products. Requires the ability to understand and educate hospital laboratory and nursing staff on instrument application issues and the ability to perform data analysis. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 4 years experience in the diagnostics industry or a hospital laboratory. Clinical laboratory bench experience and/or POCT experience is ideal for this position as well as experience with Bedside Glucose Meters and Blood Gas systems. A Med Tech or life science degree or equivalent background is preferred. Requires excellent communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills. This position is based in the Waltham, MA office and requires 50% travel.

INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR: GLUCOSE TRAINING SPECIALIST
Nova Biomedical is looking for independent contractors interested in performing clinical training services at hospitals throughout the United States in support of our expanding StatStrip bedside glucose hospital product line. In this contracted position, successful candidates will be offered opportunities to travel to customer sites and train end users on the StatStrip system as part of a team of onsite trainers. Qualified candidates will become factory certified trainers on the StatStrip system. Upon certification, contracted training specialists will be responsible for training hospital end users on the proper use of the StatStrip system. Additional responsibility includes documenting end user training and certifying that the end user has demonstrated core competencies associated with the use of the StatStrip system. FIELD SUPPORT SPECIALIST – Houston, TX
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to service customers by providing world-class support. Ideally based in the Houston area within 30 minutes of the major airports, the person holding this position will be responsible for installation, training, emergency service and preventive maintenance of new and existing Nova Biomedical instrumentation. The candidate will primarily cover service activity within the states of TX, LA, and MS, but also may be required to travel outside of this territory. This individual will perform work within defined service standards, including, but not limited to, response-time, scheduled maintenance, demand service events, installations, and first-day resolution rates. The successful candidate will also be responsible for properly documenting all service related activities in a timely and professional manner, including inventory, service orders, expense reports, and all other required records. Exceptional organizational skills, customer focus and an absolute commitment to exceeding customer expectations are a must in this position. Also required are a BS in life sciences, medical technology, or equivalent industry experience; 3-6 years technical experience; exposure to the clinical diagnostic environments highly desirable. As a field-based position, this will require overnight travel up to 40-50% of the time.

Packager, Reagents
The Packager, under general supervision, will follow established procedures in packaging reagent kits. This individual is responsible for working on an assembly line to assemble the various kits within the established quality and time standards. The individual will work with various packaging equipment such as: automated/manual tape machines, manual pallet trucks, conveyors, flow racks and other packaging devices. Requirements are high school diploma or equivalent, 1+ years of related experience, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and work alternately in a seated or standing position.

Regional Account Manager, Biotechnology – Southwest Region
Due to Nova’s growth we are currently looking to add a top performing sales representative to sell the full range of Nova’s automated biotechnology instrumentation ($30,000 to $100,000 analyzers). The Account Manager will manage complex sales situations including single departmental sales, multi-departmental sales and often multi-locations sales. Daily activities include, lead generation, product and PowerPoint presentations, instrumentation evaluations, quote generation, forecasting and the reporting of activities. This position requires a BS degree, a strong science aptitude and a minimum of 3 to5 years of documented success in capital instrumentation sales, preferably within the biotechnology industry. The candidate must reside in either the San Diego or San Francisco areas. The Region includes Southern California (including San Francisco East Bay area) Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma and Colorado

Webmaster/ Designer
Plans, develops, tests, maintains and documents programs controlling the content and appearance of multiple corporate web sites worldwide. Responsibilities include total web content management and miscellaneous graphic design work. Ensures consistency of design and branding through all websites (US and International and in different languages). Website maintenance and evaluation must ensure Nova has the highest rankings with search engines and that all files can be accessed efficiently. Understands and uses storefront software such as Xcart for on-line business transactions. Works with the design and production team to create and update web graphics and prepare files for marketing programs needing web support. Requires three years or more of experience, mastery of web development and the ability to read, understand and write hard code. Must demonstrate an understanding of PC and Mac platforms, software and programming knowledge including, but not limited to, WordPress, XCart, PHP, MySql, Perl, FrontPage, Flash, HTML, jQuery, JAVA Scripting, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Director, InDesign, Quark, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, PowerPoint, and MS Office. Ability to do technical illustration and 3D modeling; knowledge of Cinema 4D is a plus. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Successful candidate must have excellent proofing skills, technical aptitude, and willingness to learn new programs.
