GENERAL
CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE
The CSR is responsible for
processing customer orders via EDI,
fax and phone; assuring proper routing
of orders through existing distribution
channels; and interfacing with internal
departments such as accounting, shipping
and field service. You will also process
RMA requests received via phone, fax
and electronic media, act as liaison
between customers, sales team and
distribution and prepare reports on
daily call volumes as required. The
successful candidate will be proficient
in data entry, have a professional
phone manner and able to work in a
fast paced, flexible environment with
minimum supervision. Associate’s
degree or equivalent, 2 – 4
years related experience required.
Someone familiar with EDI order flow
and processes is preferred. The work
hours are 9am to 6pm.
INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR: GLUCOSE TRAINING
SPECIALIST
Nova Biomedical is looking for independent
contractors interested in performing
clinical training services at hospitals
throughout North America in support
of our expanding StatStrip bedside
glucose hospital product line. In
this contracted position, successful
candidates will be offered opportunities
to travel to customer sites and train
end users on the StatStrip system
as part of a team of onsite trainers.
Qualified candidates will become factory
certified trainers on the StatStrip
system. Upon certification, contracted
training specialists will be responsible
for training hospital end users on
the proper use of the StatStrip system.
Additional responsibility includes
documenting end user training and
certifying that the end user has demonstrated
core competencies associated with
the use of the StatStrip system. If
you have hospital glucose testing
experience as a qualified healthcare
professional (RN, LPN, CAN, PCA, CCT,
Medical Technologist, Lab Assistant,
Paramedic), have a flexible schedule
or are semi-retired but would like
to keep your hands in a clinical hospital
setting, and are able to travel, we
would like to talk to you about this
exciting contract opportunity.
JR. CHEMICAL FILLING OPERATOR
The Filling Operator is responsible
for the proper filling, sealing and
labeling of various reagents. Responsibilities
include: monitoring of the filling
equipment during operation, recording
necessary data into procedures, inspection
of product, loading/unloading product
from equipment and movement of materials.
Must be able to lift 40 lbs and be
able to work alternately in a seated
or standing procedure. Must have basic
mechanical aptitude with the ability
to work with hand tools and gages
to properly operate filling equipment
such as bottle fillers, shrink wrappers,
and sterilizers. Requires 0 to 2 years’
experience as a machine operator.
Knowledge of Quality System Regulations
is desirable.
JR. MEMBRANE ASSEMBLER
The assembler is responsible for the
processing of the various membranes
for both core and OEM analyzers. Under
general supervision, this person will
perform routine and complex assembly
operations. Must have the ability
to work independently and efficiently.
Required to manufacture only the highest
quality assemblies while meeting manufacturing
schedules. Responsibilities include,
but are not limited to: ability to
work with various solvents and chemicals
during assembly, a high level of attention
to detail, the ability to set up and
operate a variety of production equipment,
and the ability to understand assembly
procedures, drawings, verbal instructions
and related process documentation.
Must be able to work on your feet
for minimum of 4 hours per day. High
School/Trade School educated with
good math and communication skills
and up to 2 years of experience.
MARKETING MANAGER
The Marketing Manager is responsible
for the conception and development
of marketing sales strategies to increase
POC glucose products in primary care
physician offices and pharmacies.
This position supports the direct
sales force as well as National Account
Managers including retail, wholesale,
DME, and managed care groups. Key
responsibilities include: develop
marketing strategies to support company
business plans and initiatives; develop
and create promotional materials,
sales brochures, and sales literature;
coordinate sales force CDE programs,
diabetes events, and trade shows.
3+ years experience as a Product or
Marketing Manager required along with
a BA/BS in Business/Marketing, MBA
preferred. 10 years of Marketing/Sales
in Healthcare industry and working
knowledge of diabetes management preferred.
MEDICAL SALES SPECIALIST
We currently have three openings located
in: Charlotte, Atlanta and Tampa.
The Sales Specialist is responsible
for sales and promotion of diabetes
products/services to accounts in a
defined zip code territory. Primary
sales focus is targeted at Endocrinologists,
Primary Care Physicians, CDE/ Nurse
Educators, and Pharmacists who influence
consumer glucose use. Secondary sales
focus will be directed toward local
and regional Durable Medical Equipment
(DME) companies. Key responsibilities
include: conduct daily sales calls
to accounts in territory building
key relationships with decision makers,
promoting products and services, and
sample/literature delivery; develop
business plan and territory call route;
and promote CDE programs & Diabetes
events with key accounts and influencers.
The qualified candidate will have
2+ years sales experience in pharmaceutical
or device sales to physician office
environment along with a BA/BS, preferably
in Business or Life Science. Working
knowledge of diabetes and diabetes
management is also required.
TECHNICAL
PRODUCT APPLICATIONS SPECIALIST
As the Technical Product
Applications Specialist your primary
responsibilities are to perform on-site
application studies for all Nova products,
work closely with Nova field sales
representatives, work with new customers
after the sale to streamline validation
requirements on Nova products and
ensure a successful, smooth transition
to Nova technology. You will also
review, prepare data outputs, and
present performance data obtained
during the above onsite application
studies to prospective and current
customers. When necessary, performs
onsite customer training for Nova
product lines. Requires the ability
to understand and educate end users
on instrument application issues and
the ability to perform data analysis
in support of clinical applications
department objectives. The ideal candidate
will have 2 to 4 years’ experience
in a diagnostics industry or hospital
related atmosphere. Clinical laboratory
bench experience and/or POCT experience
is ideal for this position. Experience
with Bedside Glucose Meters and Blood
Gas systems. A Med Tech, Nursing,
or Respiratory Therapy degree or equivalent
background is preferred. Requires
excellent communication, teaching,
and interpersonal skills. Requires
a person willing to travel within
or outside the assigned location.
TECHNICAL PRODUCT SPECIALIST - BioProfile
The Tech Specialist is responsible
for resolving technical problems and
providing information related to the
operation and maintenance of our end
user’s Nova BioProfile line
of analyzers. Other responsibilities
include providing support to Nova’s
Field Service Engineers as well as
providing key product information
to Nova’s Field Sales Representative.
A BS, or equivalent, in Chemistry,
Biology or Electronics required along
with a minimum of 3 years experience.
Must be an effective communicator,
familiar with R&D lab settings,
strong computer skills, and the ability
to travel to customer sites on occasion.

ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE - Dallas
We are currently looking for
a top performing Account Executive to
sell capital equipment to hospitals
in the North Texas and Oklahoma territory.
This position requires experience selling
capital equipment in a price sensitive
environment. BA/BS science aptitude
and 2 to 10 years’ sales experience
with documented success. Overnight travel
required.
NATIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGER - DME
The National Account Manager
is responsible for managing all aspects
of a National Accounts Durable Medical
Equipment program. This includes developing
contracts with DME suppliers, creating
and following a strategic sales plan
to expand market presence, and building
strong relationships in the DME industry.
Core duties include: develop, negotiate,
and implement strategic contracts with
DME suppliers; manage and maintain existing
DME contracts; identify new opportunities
existing in market; and develop sales
and marketing literature for DME environment.
The successful candidate will have 2+
years experience in DME sales and contracting,
7+ years sales experience in healthcare
industry, and working knowledge of Diabetes
and Diabetes Management. BA/BS in Business
and strong analytical skills required.
Advanced level of MS-Office, and outstanding
communication and customer relationship
skills are also required.
NATIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGER - Managed Care
The National Account Manager
is responsible for sales and contracting
with third party payers to optimize
plan access and develop strategies for
health initiatives by establishing strong
relationships. Essential duties include:
develop and implement strategic plans
with managed care organizations; maintain
and increase the number of profitable
contracts; incorporate understanding
of benefit design and reimbursement;
and complete analysis to determine ROI.
The successful candidate will have a
BA/B, 2+ years experience with high-level
Managed Care contracting. 7+ years sales
experience in Healthcare/Pharma industry
preferred. Knowledge of pricing strategies.
Outstanding communication and customer
relationship skills required along with
strong analytical skills.
NATIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGER - Wholesaler/Distributor
The National Account Manager
is responsible for managing all aspects
of a distribution program. This includes
developing contracts with medical/pharmaceutical
wholesalers and distributors, creating
and following strategic sales plan to
expand market presence, and building
strong relationships within the distribution
channels. Core responsibilities include:
develop, negotiate, and implement strategic
contracts with wholesaler/distributor
suppliers; manage and maintain existing
wholesaler/distributor contracts and
relationships; develop strong relationships
at various levels within key strategic
distributor accounts; and identify new
opportunities existing in market. Requires
2+ years experience in wholesaler and
distributor sales and contracting with
wholesaler/distributor companies. BA/BS
in Business and thorough understanding
of wholesale and distribution market.
SALES TRAINING MANAGER
The successful candidate will have excellent
presentation and organization skills
plus sales experience and training experience
with medical or scientific products.
The candidate must have the ability
to effectively present various training
modules, develop and document core competencies
of new hires. The candidate will also
lead the creation of new training materials
and modules for existing products and
new products as they are released. Part
of the job duties will be to develop
and conduct training for new sales reps,
both domestic and international. Training
responsibilities include product feature/benefit
training, product operation training,
clinical applications, basic selling
skills, presentation skills, policies
and procedures. Training will be conducted
through the use of written or audio-visual
materials. The candidate should be familiar
with PowerPoint or other software tools.
The trainer will also be responsible
for logistics, coordinating schedules
and providing study materials for new
sales representatives. A Bachelor of
Science degree plus 2 years in Sales
or Marketing of Medical or Scientific
products is required. We will also consider
teaching or corporate training experience.
